About The Blog
I unexpectedly became a widow at 33. My husband and I spent much of our 10 years together travelling the world. This blog was originally for family and friends to follow our infrequent adventures in globe-trotting. But with the recent turn of events, it has become a way to share my walk through this process. There are moments of grief, but also moments of light. Eventually, I will write the rest of our travel stories, and someday I will travel again myself. But for now, it is a form of therapy, and a way to maybe help others put their feelings into words. Thank you for following. ~Katie

Wifin’ Ain’t Easy
There’s this “Spouse’s Challenge” that’s been trending on Facebook. You share pictures of you and your spouse, then challenge someone else to do it. And I certainly don’t want to belittle the trend. It’s a cute idea: a way to … Continue reading

Walk Like a Man: The Chris Wall Way
It still feels like a punch to the gut. Because Chris was one of the good ones. And if we lost one of the good ones, that means any of us could go. So we’re all now sitting here, questioning … Continue reading

Broken & Thankful
Yes, I too am already concerned about the title of this post. Seriously, Katie? You’re going to go there? Yes, I am. Because pulling myself further down into a pit of despair sounds like a worse idea than the alternative … Continue reading

Letting Go of Answers
I have a lot of questions for God. More than I ever thought I would. I am not angry at Him for the path I am on, nor for Chris no longer being a part of our lives. Nor for … Continue reading
